




Obituary of Bernardo Rodriguez
Bernardo (Benny) Saldana Rodriguez, 90, made transition on August 18, 2022, of natural causes after battling a medical condition. He was surrounded and comforted by many loved ones at the time of passing.
Benny, husband, beloved father and grandfather, was born 1932 in Marion, Texas. In 1942, his parents moved the family to Loveland where he worked for the railroad at a very young age. He then traveled the country pursuing various employment opportunities before moving to Casper, Wyoming, and ultimately returning back to Colorado. His hobbies included, dancing; accordion playing; showing off his billiard skills and card tricks; entertaining his grandchildren; working on projects in his shed (cuartito); listening to Tejano/Mexican music; gardening; watching game shows, Bob Ross episodes, and western movies.
He is preceded in death by, (Father) Jose Rodriguez; (Mother) Simona Rodriguez; (Brothers) Ismael and Reuben; (Sister) Susie; Stepson, John Lara Everage.
He is survived by: Wife, Linda Rodriguez; Daughter, Nancy; Sons, Bernardo Jr, Ricky, and Steve; Step-daughters, Sheryl and Amy; Son-in-law, Gary; Daughter-in-law Renee Rodriguez; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 3 Brothers; as well as, 5 children of his first marriage.
The Viewing will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Friday, August 26 from 4-7pm, and Funeral Service, Saturday, August 27 at 10:30 am and Reception to follow. Please senddonations or flower arrangements to Viegut Funeral Home.
