Obituary of Calvin Ross Carter III
With a heavy heart, a great Husband, Father, Brother, Calvin R Carter III, gained his wings on January 4, 2023. Calvin was born in Loveland, Colorado October 26, 1952 to Betty Hulslander (Huckabee) and Calvin Carter Jr. Calvin lived his entire life in Loveland. Calvin spent most of his childhood in Masonville.
Calvin graduated from Loveland High School and joined the Army, Special Forces and served in many different locations throughout the world. He was deployed during the Vietnam War. Once his tour was complete he started working for Eastman Kodak in Windsor where he worked and retired from a job he really enjoyed. Not being ready to settle down, Calvin was able to get his dream job, working for Sierra Space located in Louisville, Colorado. He enjoyed working on special projects like the Dream Chaser Shuttle. He enjoyed staying busy, working and helping out friends and family on social projects.
Calvin was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his wife Sandy; three children, Calvin “Bear” Carter IV (Jocelyn) Clover, SC, Denny Luther (Brenda) Loveland, CO, Dan Putnam Colo.; grandson, Alex Carter; sisters, Cora Hudson, Connie Carter, Jackie Valdez (Steve); many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calvin was always willing to help anyone, and was loved and know by everyone. Services will be at a later date, more information to follow.
