Obituary of Jose Manuel Bonilla Munoz
Jose “Manuel” Bonilla Munoz was born May 19, 1986 in Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Jose Manuel Bonilla Aguilar and Leticia Munoz. Manuel was raised in Laramie, Wyoming with his four siblings – Maria “Fati” Bonilla daughters Maryn and Gracie, Armondo Bonilla (Susan) daughter Clarissa, Isaac Diaz (Stephanie) sons Jeremiah and Bradly and Olivia Gonzalez. He was the oldest son of his siblings and was always looking out for them. His childhood was filled with playing baseball, enjoying the outdoors and getting into mischief with his friends. Manuel met his wife Kara Kessner in Laramie, Wyoming where they welcomed their first son Lorenzo in 2004. A few years later, in 2008, they had their second son Angelo. Manuel and his family relocated from his hometown of Laramie to Ft. Collins, Colorado in 2013. Manuel was the ultimate provider for his wife and kids, and he showed that through his hard work and dedication in every career he pursued. While being a dedicated father he also dedicated 18 years to working his way up in the oil field. Manuel most recently worked for Hurricane Air & Swabbing as a welder. He was known for cooking meals for his crew and was always joking with the guys to keep moral up. In 2020 Manuel and Kara added their last addition to their family, their son Mateo. Manuel was the proudest father and loved spending time with his wife and kids on his days off. He was a great cook and he loved cooking and smoking meat for family dinners. He loved fishing and being outdoors. He enjoyed all genres of music and even explored DJing at one point. He loved the Denver Broncos and watching pretty much any sporting event. But Manuel was his happiest when watching his boys play football, baseball and wrestle.
Manuel was the true example of a provider, hard worker and a proud Dad. He was filled with strength, grit and humor. His passion for welding kept him busy and he continued working and providing ‘til the very end despite his cancer diagnosis. Manuel passed away at home surrounded by his family in Ft. Collins, Colorado on March 29, 2023.
