Obituary of Rosalia Marie Bruner

Rosalia (Rusty) M Grabenstetter Bruner died on 6/7/2023 at the age of 99. She is survived by her daughter Rose Melville (husband Alton Sheley), Loveland CO, daughter Ellen Maynard, Manassas VA, son Paul A Bruner (wife Nancy), Palmetto FL, and son Martin Bruner (wife Darcy), Clear Lake WI. She is preceded in death by her husband (1993), 5 children, 3 sisters, one brother and both parents.

Rusty was born in Milwaukee, WI, moved to St Paul MN at the age of 10, attended Catholic grade and high school (St Joseph’s Academy). She received her RN from St Cloud Hospital school of nursing. She held a nursing license in 6 states. She married Paul J Bruner on May 7, 1949, they celebrated their 40^th anniversary in 1989 at St Anthony’s Church, King George, VA, with 2 children and 3 grandchildren in attendance.

Rusty was active in every parish she attended. President of Altar & Rosary society and Council of Catholic Women. She volunteered as a Red Cross nurse, volunteered for the Blind Association, den mother for Boy Scouts, and volunteered for Hospice. Funeral services will be held at a later date at her final resting place in White Bear Lake, MN.
