Obituary of Maria Soto

Maria Soto of Greeley, CO, peacefully passed away surrounded by family June 16^th, 2023 at UCHealth Greeley Hospital. She was 74 years old. Maria was born in Alamo, Texas on July 4th, 1948 to Juan & Domitila Espiricueta. After living in Chicago, IL for 30 years she moved to Greeley, CO in 1994. She was an avid crafter, enjoyed puzzles and crocheting.

Maria is survived by the love of her life, Jose Guadalupe Soto of Greeley, CO; 3 sons and 3 daughters; Jose DeJesus of Granite City, IL, Jose Miguel and his wife Angelica of Edinburg, TX, Jose Juan and his wife Araceli of Caledonia, WI, Maria of Milwaukee, WI, Arizbe and her husband Juan of Severance, CO, Patricia and James of Greeley, CO. Maria had 27 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids. She is survived by her siblings; Blanca Rodriguez of Chiapas, MX, Juan and Teresa Espiricueta of Greeley, CO, Israel Espiricueta of McAllen, TX, Rosalinda Rodriguez of Milliken, CO, Renee & Maria Espiricueta of Milliken, CO. She also has many nieces and nephews too many to list…

She was preceded in death by her parents Juan & Domitila Espiricueta, her siblings Graciela Ornelas, Lucila, Amparito, and Jose Juan Espiricueta.

Services will be held Friday June 23^rd, 2023 at Viegut Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, a short service at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately after.

Private family interment will be at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at a later date
