Izzy became my best friend in the 6th grade. We came up with silly nicknames for each other. She was Lizard and I was Leech. We went to see the Lizzie McGuire movie, which was the first movie I went to without family. We went to ride Sammy together. And we were so excited about Finding Nemo we used to quote the trailer all the time in our 6th grade English class until we finally got to go see it. Then she was on a trip to Australia that I went on and we had so much fun just being kids. We talked every now and then but I wish we would’ve kept in touch more. My heart goes out to her kids and her family in this difficult time.
