Obituary of Christopher Joseph Karr
Christopher Joseph Karr arrived in heaven on July 2, 2023 after an accident in his beloved truck. He was born on November 17, 2006 and grew up in Loveland, Colorado. He had recently moved to Fort Collins. Christopher was a student at Timnath Middle High School and he worked as a custodian at the school. He was also a part of the Design/Build track at PSD Futures Lab. He attended Liberty Common School and Liberty Common High School through 9th grade, but he found his place and his people at TMHS. He was thriving and making plans for his future.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Joe and Dawn Karr, and his dog, Buddy. He is also survived by his aunt Belinda Dow and cousins Isabelle and Thomas Dow, Uncle Ed and Aunt Liz Karr, Aunt Ellen Hoffman and cousins David and Daniel Hoffman, Aunt Kathy Fairchild, Cousin Ed Karr and his wife Tina and their daughters Adrienne and Caroline. He is survived by his best friend whom he considered to be his brother, Justin Mosco and his family. He is survived by his mentor and dear friend Don Rappenecker. He left behind so many people who loved him.
Christopher was proceeded in death by Great Grandma Mary Dow, Uncle Jack Karr, Grandma Joyce Karr, Grandpa Dave Dow, Uncle Dan Dow, and Grandma Deanna Dow. He certainly had a welcoming committee when he arrived in heaven.
Christopher loved God, his family and friends, and his country. He loved music, playing guitar, and driving. He was passionate about fishing, firearms, and knives. He started his own business, The Neighborhood Lawn Boy, at the age of 11 and he never stopped working to make money. He was a finalist for the PSD Student Worker of the Year award. He graduated from the Youth Police Academy on June 2, 2023 and was so grateful for the school resource officers at TMHS. He was an active member of Impact Church, and he loved being on the puppet team there.
Everyone is welcome to attend the celebrations of Christopher’s life. His family requests that you would honor him by wearing patriotic or “country” attire. Hats, jeans, and boots are encouraged.
