Obituary of Theresa Christine Shidner

Theresa was finally reunited with the love of her life, Alan, on June 29, 2023. The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

 

Theresa met the love of her life, Alan, in her home state of California. They met at a valentine’s dance in 1969.  They fell in love and were married in 1972 in El Cajon California. Theresa and Alan went on to have two children, Kevin and Blaine

 

Theresa lived a long, happy life and died peacefully in the care of Pathways Hospice after a battle with melanoma. Theresa’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. 

 

Theresa was fearless, adventitious and loving.  Theresa had a huge heart. One that will clearly be missed. She leaves behind enough love and memories to last several lifetimes.

 

Theresa was a crafter and collector of all things. She also leaves enough “treasures” from garage sales, shopping network and thrift stores behind that will also last a lifetime. She loved making jewelry and put a little love into every piece. 

 

Theresa was preceded by her husband Al, her father Frank, sister Angela. She is survived by her mother Winnifred, sons Kevin and Blaine. Grandchildren Jaidan, Kevin and Carson, step grandchildren Chad, Andrew, Destany, Nicolas and Adam. Great grandchildren, Dominik and Londynn. Theresa leaves behind many friends she considered family. Theresa’s also leaves behind her best friend, and a second love, Tim Harris. These two shared a very special bond and Theresa’s family is very thankful for the love and care he provided her till the very end.
