Obituary of Robert Lloyd Colhour

Robert Lloyd Colhour, passed to eternal life on July 5, 2023 at the age of 93.

Bob was born April 24, 1930 in Montrose, Colorado to Theodore and Mable Colhour.  He was the oldest of three children, growing up with 2 sisters, Eloise and Carole.  Bob graduated from Boulder High School in 1948.

He met Donna Sames at a dance in Denver in 1953.  They married in 1955 and eventually made their home in Loveland in 1963.  They raised three children: Melanie Lynn, Mark Robert, and David Paul.

Bob was a Radar Technician throughout his career and retired in 1981.  He was also part of the Colorado Air National Guard where he served for 41 years.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed going to dances with Donna, traveling, gardening and wood working.  Bob was a member of Saint John the Evangelist and was active in the Knights of Columbus.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter Melanie, and his sister Eloise.  He is survived by his wife Donna and two sons, Mark and David, two grandchildren, Heather Wilhelm (Brian) of Berthoud, Robert Quick (Jaycie) of Loveland, and three great grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist in Loveland on Thursday, July 27^th.  The rosary will be at 10:00, with Mass at 11:00am
