Obituary of Roger Herbert Katzer

Roger passed away in Loveland, Colorado on August 27, 2023 with his family at his side. He was born on November 16, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lester and Katherine Katzer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ricky and Russell Katzer, his wife Eleanor, sons Kenneth and David and grandsons Christopher and Ryan. He is survived by daughter Lynn Wright of Cheyenne, WY, son Richard (Michelle) Katzer of Highlands Ranch, CO, daughter Peggy (Terry) Snuggs of Calhan, CO, daughter Darlene (Paul) Kirkland of Loveland, CO, and son Stephen Katzer of Bayfield, CO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 Roger was in the air force and retired as a tech sergeant with 20 years of service. He then worked for the US postal service for another 30 years.

He lived and raised his family in Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Loveland, CO in 2017 to live out the rest of his years. He was a model train enthusiast as well as enjoying an occasional trip on the rail lines in several states. He also enjoyed his movie collection, especially John Wayne movies and War documentaries. He also loved watching and armchair participation in game shows. He will be missed by all! We love you!
