Obituary of John David Lewis

John David Lewis of Loveland, CO passed away peacefully Sunday, September 3, 2023, after a two-year battle with cancer.

John was born in October, 1949 in Long Beach, CA, to Harold and Joanne Lewis, but grew up and spent most of his life in Colorado. After graduating from Boulder High School in 1967 and attending CU for a couple of years, John joined the family business, Lewis Plumbing. He met and married the love of his life, Annette Hobbs, in Boulder in 1970 and settled in Loveland in 1984 and remained there.

Much loved and respected by those who knew him, John was quiet giver, devoted to his family and active in his church. In 35 years with Plumbing Services Inc. in Loveland, John built thousands of new homes, apartments and other buildings in Northeastern Colorado.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Annette of Loveland, CO, daughter Bethany Lewis of Vancouver, WA, son Ryan Lewis of Idaho Springs, CO and his family, and brothers Bob Lewis (Maeve) of Mead, CO and Phil Lewis of Nebraska and their families.
