



Obituary of John Benjamin Daily
John Benjamin Daily, 33, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away September 9, 2023. Ben was born in Fort Collins, the long-awaited child of John W. and Sharianne Daily, unconditionally loved by his proud parents from his first breath January 27, 1990. Ben, Benjamin, Benny, loved generously his family and friends, always sharing an I Love You and then actively living it out. His Grandparents, Mae and Bernard Bruce and Detta Daily, were very involved in Ben’s life, attending all functions from childhood to adulthood. Ben cherished having a large family fan base at his sporting events even as an adult, he would proudly introduce his friends to his grandparents. He enjoyed family holiday gatherings with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, the more the merrier.
Ben grew up in Fort Collins with the love of all thing’s sports, a ball was his favorite, baseball was his true love and he was a strong competitor with a positive attitude, he had the love of competition with every sport he played, soccer, hockey, basketball, football, tennis, softball and golf. He was the eternal coach- coaching young athletes, friends and even family. Ben loved everything water related, and avid swimmer and high board diver from an early age, he was attracted to every water slide. Ben’s favorite live music venue was Red Rocks. Ben was camera ready, iPhone in hand, he would take an incredible number of photos and videos beaming with pure love and joy with everything those beautiful blue eyes saw through his lens. He was an artist at heart and enjoyed sharing his gift with many. When Ben wasn’t playing sports himself, he was watching live sports anywhere he could, as an avid fan of Colorado Rockies, Avalanche, Broncos and Nuggets he fiercely rooted for his teams. Ben loved movies - being the first to see the movie, watching his favorite movies over and over and quoting lines, like everyone should know exactly what he was quoting with laughter. He enjoyed spending time late at night talking for hours on the phone sharing his day and asking about yours.
Ben loved his first pet, Weimaraner Walker, for 13 years and Glover, also a Weimaraner for the past 8 years - his hairy brother.
Ben was a familiar face in the Food Service Industry for 13 years giving customers the level of service he would his family and friends. He was a great cook and loved to work with traditional family recipes and new recipes with his own creative twist. Ben, Mr. Daily, spent the last school year as a Teacher’s Assistant for a 3rd Grade class at Ridgeview Classical School. He cherished his time with all the students and found so much pride working with them daily.
Ben was preceded in death by Grandpa Monte Daily, Uncle Terry Bruce, Aunt Nancy Schroetlin, Grandma Mae Bruce and Grandpa Bernard Bruce.
