Obituary of Betty Leann Moritz

Born in Kirwin, Kansas.

Went to School in a one Room School house through 8^th Grade. Then to town school in Kirwin, Kansas. Graduated in 1951

Daughter of Carl and Lottie (Hatcher) Lare. Preceded In death by her parents, brothers Ralph, Mervin, Elden, Francis and sister Linda (Helen Lare) Donaho. Gary Lare and Fran living in McPherson KS.

Married to Don Moritz 1955-1972). She lived in Nebraska until moving to Colo in 1967. She had four children, Doris, Doug (passed in 2022), Steve and Larry Moritz.

She had 9 Grandchildren, Mary, Susan, Kyle, Fallon, Rheannon, Kasie, Karen and Michael. Also 13 Great Grand Children.

She survived Depression and Dust Bowl Days.

Loved Dancing, Country Music and going to Senior Citizen Gatherings. Loved doing puzzels with the Grand kids and Great Grands. Traveled to Hawaii several times to Maui and Oahu, Cruizes and Bus Trips.

Betty worked at the Westlake Ben Franklin Store and at Hewlett Packard. She also volunteered at the Bison Center for Larimer County.

She passed away at McKee Hospital in Loveland, CO at the age of 91.              

Service will be held at Viegut Funeral Home 1616 N Garfield, Loveland CO at 11:00. Officiated by Emma Kelln.
